Zhi-Pei Liang is the Franklin W. Woeltge Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and co-chairs the Integrative Imaging Theme of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. His research covers image-formation theory, algorithms, and biomedical applications. He is particularly interested in using spins (both nuclear and electron spins) to image biological systems and processes. He served as President of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2011–2012.
