Eric Wieben is Director of the Medical Genome Facility in the Center for Individualized Medicine (CIM) and Director of the Office of External Research Collaborations for Mayo. He is former Chair of the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and former Director of the Genomics Research Center. His expertise focuses on application of genomics technologies to improving human health, particularly in the area of pharmacogenomics. His recent research seeks ways to improve the ability to harvest clinically useful information from difficult repeat regions in the human genome.
