Bryan White is Professor in the Dept. of Animal Sciences and the Carl R. Woese Institute of Genomic Biology (IGB). He is Director of the Mayo Clinic/UIUC Strategic Alliance for Technology-Based Healthcare, a structure that provides clinical partners with expertise and technology supporting collaborative programs in individualized medicine and point-of-care diagnostics. His research interests are in using microbial genomics, metagenomics, and microbial ecology to understand host-microbe interactions.
