Mobile Applications for Precision Cancer Care

Mobile applications (apps) designed for disease diagnosis, chronic disease management, drug information, and clinical education have been transforming the practice of modern medicine. New drug development remains challenging and expensive; re-purposing the existing anti-cancer drugs based on genomics data and novel drug prioritization methods to treat an individual patient can be more effective. The availability of sophisticated bioinformatics methods within the mobile applications will allow clinicians to effectively select clinically approved drugs and design therapeutic regimen based on the molecular profile of the patient. This application will maximize the success of clinical trials by patient stratification and resource optimization to aid pharmaceutical companies and industrial partners. The objective of this application is to develop a secured mobile application framework for genome-guided treatment decisions for cancer patients. The central hypothesis is that complex omics data can be presented in a clinician-friendly manner using standardized methods and mobile applications
